We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Quality Analyst / Engineer to join the team of our exceptional client. This role supports a large-scale enterprise laboratory information platform used globally to power critical business and operational workflows.

This is not a traditional QA Tester role, nor is it an Automation Engineer position. Instead, we're seeking a senior-level quality professional who can own quality across the entire software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate is equal parts Quality Analyst, Agile collaborator, requirements expert, and quality strategist—someone who proactively identifies risks, validates complex workflows, and helps shape what gets built before development begins.

What will your day look like?

As a Senior Quality Analyst / Engineer, you will:

• Own quality throughout the software development lifecycle—from requirements definition through production support

• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and stakeholders to refine requirements and identify risks before development begins

• Participate in backlog refinement, story grooming, and acceptance criteria creation

• Analyze business requirements and uncover gaps, edge cases, dependencies, and hidden assumptions

• Validate complex application workflows, system integrations, and data movement across distributed cloud-based systems

• Perform exploratory testing and end-to-end validation of business-critical functionality

• Use Postman and other API tools to validate REST integrations and system behavior

• Execute SQL queries to verify data accuracy, workflow outcomes, and system integrity

• Review code and technical designs to understand system impact, data flow, and potential quality risks

• Drive quality discussions and provide recommendations regarding production readiness and release risk

• Define quality strategies and acceptance approaches for new features and enhancements

• Partner with development teams to determine what automated test coverage should exist and identify gaps in testing strategy

• Coordinate testing efforts across multiple applications, integrations, and workstreams

• Help establish meaningful quality gates within CI/CD pipelines

• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to Agile delivery, testing practices, and software quality

You will be a good fit for this role if you have:

• 7+ years of Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Quality Analyst experience

• Extensive experience working within Agile and Scrum software development environments

• Proven ability to operate independently with minimal oversight

• Strong experience analyzing business requirements and developing acceptance criteria

• Experience validating complex enterprise applications with multiple integrations and dependencies

• Hands-on experience performing API testing using tools such as Postman

• Strong SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting

• Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

• Experience identifying risks early and driving issues through resolution

• Strong knowledge of distributed applications, cloud-based systems, and system integration testing

• Experience reviewing code and technical designs from a quality and business impact perspective

• Understanding of CI/CD processes and quality gates

• Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams

• Experience owning test strategy, test planning, and quality outcomes rather than simply executing test cases

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, laboratory systems, life sciences, or medical device environments

• Experience supporting Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or laboratory workflows

• Experience testing large-scale enterprise SaaS platforms

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and distributed systems

• Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) or Example Mapping

• Experience evaluating automated testing strategies and coverage models

• Familiarity with cloud-hosted applications and modern deployment practices

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Kanban, or similar Agile tools

• Scrum Master certification or experience

• Familiarity with programming concepts and software architecture discussions
